Booking and Reservations

  • How can I book a stay at The Retreat?
    You can easily make a reservation by clicking here or by calling 713.609.1743.
  • When is the best time to make a reservation?
    We highly suggest booking your spot at least 3-6 months ahead of your planned arrival date, especially for weekends and holidays during peak season, as we tend to book up quickly.

  • Can I choose a specific site or cabin when I make my reservation?
    Yes, you can guarantee a specific site or cabin by selecting our “Site Lock” option for an additional $35 fee. If you do not select this option, you will be assigned a site or cabin of your chosen type, but the exact location will not be guaranteed.

  • What types of payment do you accept?
    We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Cash is also accepted for in-person payments at the clubhouse and office.

Rates and Inclusion

  • What is included in the camping rates?
    Our camping rates at The Retreat include access to water, sewer, and electricity (20 to 50-amp connections for RV sites), free Wi-Fi, and HD cable TV. You’ll also have access to our outdoor pool and hot tub, fitness center, clubhouse, playground, mini golf, boardwalk, lighted fishing pier, sports courts, fire pits, picnic areas, and Wine/Beer Garden. Rates cover participation in our planned activities and events, making your stay filled with relaxation and fun!
  • What amenities are available with my stay?
    Enjoy our outdoor pool, hot tub, scenic boardwalk, lighted fishing pier, 24-hour fitness center, mini golf, sand volleyball court, lawn games like cornhole and shuffleboard, playground, jump pad, Gaga Ball pit, Wine/Beer Garden, fire pits, and kayak and boat rentals. There’s something for everyone!

Resort Rules and Policies

  • Can I bring a tent to set up on my RV site?
    No, we do not allow tents to be set up on RV sites. We offer designated tent sites that provide a more comfortable experience for tent campers.
  • Are personal vehicles like golf carts or ATVs permitted?
    Personal golf carts are permitted but must be electric and operated by licensed drivers. ATVs, dirt bikes, and other off-road vehicles are not allowed. For more details, please contact the front desk.

  • Can I ride my E-Bike or use a motorized scooter around the resort?
    Yes, E-Bikes and motorized scooters are welcome. Please follow all speed limits and traffic rules. Reckless driving will result in the vehicle needing to be parked for the rest of your stay.

  • Are alcoholic beverages allowed?
    Yes, guests can enjoy alcoholic beverages as long as they are in unmarked containers or koozies. Please keep the environment family-friendly.

Activities and Events

  • How can I find out about themed weekends and events?
    Check our activity calendar on the website for upcoming themed weekends and events. You can also follow us on social media or sign up for our newsletter. Contact the front desk for more details.
  • What are the hours for the swimming pool?
    The swimming pool is open year-round, daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Hours may vary seasonally or due to maintenance, so check with the front desk during your stay.

On-Site Rentals and Limits

  • Can I rent a golf cart during my stay?
    Yes, golf carts are available for rent. You can add one during the online booking process or visit the camp store if you’re already staying with us.
  • How many vehicles are allowed at my campsite or cabin?
    Each site is allowed up to two vehicles. All vehicles must display a parking pass on the rearview mirror. Due to limited parking, additional vehicles are not permitted.

  • What’s the limit on the number of people per site?
    RV and tent sites can accommodate up to 8 guests per reservation. For cabins, covered wagons and retro RVs, capacity depends on the specific unit’s sleeping arrangements.

Seasons and Scheduling

  • What are the operating months for your pool?
    Our pool closes in early December and reopens in mid-March, once temperatures are consistently above 65 degrees.

  • What are your peak and off-peak seasons?
    Our peak season is during the summer months, from May to August, when families come for outdoor fun. Our mild winters from November through February are also popular for extended stays and “Winter Texans” looking for a peaceful retreat. Check our website or contact the front desk for more details on rates and availability.

  • Is it possible to take a tour of the resort?
    Yes, tours are available upon request. Please contact us in advance to schedule a visit, as tours are not offered during holidays or peak weekends.

Pet and Firewood Policies

  • Can I bring my pet to The Retreat?
    We welcome pets at RV and tent sites and in designated pet-friendly cabins. Pets must be on a leash and supervised at all times. They are not permitted in certain areas like the pool, playgrounds, and indoor facilities.

  • Can guests bring their own firewood?
    No, outside firewood is not allowed for safety and environmental reasons. Firewood can be purchased at our camp store.

  • What should I do if there’s an emergency?
    In case of an emergency, please alert a staff member at The Retreat immediately.
